Unlike a Personal Trainer, A Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) is a Board-certified allied healthcare professional who specializes in the evaluation, treatment, and prevention of injuries.
Athletic Trainers are required to earn their degree at an accredited College or University, pass a board certification exam, and maintain good standing with the national accrediting association.
Athletic Trainers work in tandem with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to ensure the overall wellness of their populations throughout the physical requirements of their daily activities.
Athletic Trainers are trained to identify physical stressors in daily life and design strategies to minimize their effect on the individual. They can also educate about and help implement healthy strategies for exercise and nutrition that will be effective towards any goal.
BatHound Fitness seeks to apply these principles to our community by drawing congruence between challenges faced on the field with those in everyday life.
